In 1976, Gaby Gex-Fabry transformed the family farm into a restaurant. At first, he named it "Restaurant Les Champeys" (the name of the place), but soon everyone began calling it "Chez Gaby," a name that still exists today.

In the mid-1990's, Gaby built his first chalet, posting a "for sale" sign on it, which was an immediate success. Over the years, he helped promote 35 individual chalets in the village, followed by several apartment complexes.

In 2004, he opened the "GF Immobilier" agency with his daughter Sabine Gex-Fabry, who is managing it for 20 years.
